If you’re new to my blog, I should probably clue you in on what exactly I do as a health coach.
In short, I specialize in helping women reach their health and fitness goals through strength training, interval training, and simple, clean eating. Whether your goal is to lose weight, build muscle, gain functional strength, quit eating sugar, or something else entirely, I will work one-on-one with you online to help you create a life that supports your goals – without making you miserable. No endless, boring cardio, no crash diets or crazy new trends, just a results-oriented, healthy lifestyle, pure and simple. I will be your accountability partner, offer you encouragement when you feel like quitting, help you problem solve when you hit a roadblock, and much more. A health coach can help you overcome just about any setback or hindrance in your current lifestyle – all you have to bring to the table is commitment. After all, I can’t force you to put in the work and stick to the plan, but you can be darn well sure I’ll do everything in my power to make sure you do 😉
What sets you apart from other health coaches (besides your $50/month rate)?
I coach online. Many coaches work via the phone or in person. Not me! At some point down the road I will probably also offer phone sessions, but for now I do all my coaching via live chat. Why? For several reasons. One being that it is really handy to have a written record of our conversation for future reference. I can also send you articles and videos much more easily during a chat session. And then of course there’s that wonderful benefit of being able to coach and be coached anywhere, at just about any time, no matter what you look like or what chaos is going on in the background. Heck, you can blast your favorite music and be in your pj’s sipping a latte if you want.
I really, really love what I do. I am slightly obsessed with health and fitness (in a good way), and that probably comes through strongly on my blog and in my coaching sessions. Which means that when I’m chatting with you, I’m honestly loving it and passionate about it, which ends up being great for you because I am that much more motivated to make sure your needs are more than met.
I’ve been there, done that. I have tried countless workout programs on my fitness journey (and likely will try many more in the future), which means I can save you a lot of trial and error. I can also likely find exactly which workouts you need to fit both your personality and your fitness goals, instead of sacrificing one for the other.
I specialize in using non-traditional workout methods (like weight lifting) to help you reach your fitness goals. I will never make you get on a treadmill for an hour (unless you are crazy and really want to do that). We can explore options like interval training, weightlifting, bodybuilding, calisthenics, pilates, barre, and more! The key is to find what will help you reach your specific goals in a fun but optimally effective way.
Everything I do is incredibly personalized. From the individual workouts I send you to the way I communicate with you, I tailor every coaching session as well as I can to suit your unique needs and personality. If there is one thing I hate in the fitness industry (actually there are several, but that is beside the point) it is generalization. There are so many amazing options out there today to help women become the fittest version of themselves, and I want to help you find exactly the right path for you. You shouldn’t have to settle for less just because that’s what everyone else is doing.
An overview of 1 month of coaching:
Here is a loose outline of what 1 month of coaching can look like. As I said before, everyone has different needs so every coaching program will look different, but this is the basic idea.
Session 1: Identify goals. Get a feel for client’s personality, fitness history, interests, and needs. Develop a manageable plan with short and long term goals and give client a push in the right direction.
Session 2: Check in with client about previous week, discuss coming week and make any changes to the plan as needed.
Session 3: Same as session 2.
Session 4: Celebrate the successes of the previous month, decide where to go from here.
