1,000 Rep Leg Workout

When I got home from work this afternoon I had my usual dilemma of figuring out what workout should I do, depending on if I feel like I need to work on strength, burn off some junk food, or just maintain when I don’t feel like doing much else. Today I needed a good lower body workout and to burn off some junk food I’ve eaten recently (yeah, I’ll admit it, this last week I’ve cheated a couple times too many). Originally I was going to do 1,000 squats for time (because why not?), but then I decided that would be too boring after 500 reps. So instead I did a 1,000 rep lower body workout. This was the workout, and my goodness did it ever kick my butt (literally):

2 rounds, minimal rest: (Took me just under 40 minutes)

100 Squats

100 Hip Bridges

100 Lunges

100 Plie (ballet style) Pulses

100 second (1 minute, 40 seconds) Wall Sit

I did all the exercises with very minimal rest between exercises, and did my best to get in all 100 reps at once. A couple of times I had to break it up into 2 sets of 50 reps just so I could pause for a second or 2 to shake out some of the building lactic acid and carry on. When I finished I was a sweaty mess and I could hardly walk down the stairs properly so I’d say I’m happy with myself lol 🙂
